Let’s work together

Interested in working together? Fill out some info and I will be in touch shortly!

  • For any proposals relating to books, including my published books or new book projects, please contact Elly James at HHB Agency: elly@hhbagency.com

  • I’m happy to take on consulting work. Email me with an outline of what you would like to discuss. If I think I can help you we can set up a meeting.

  • If you are a drinks producer or PR and would like to get in touch about The Drinks Cabinet podcast, please email tdc@overproof.media. (Podcast emails ONLY to this address please.)

  • I’m very happy to provide expert comment on the following topics:

    • Beer

    • Cider

    • Spirits (all spirits but particularly gin and whisky)

    • Cocktails

    • Non-alcoholic drinks

    • Bar and pub culture

    • Drinks retail

    • Sustainability in the drinks industry

  • I’m usually happy to accept samples but please get in touch before sending anything.

I do not guarantee coverage in return for samples. Having said that, I will do my best to taste them and provide feedback in a timely manner.

Please avoid using plastic packaging and keep in mind that everything you send will end up in my home recycling.

Here are some reasons I might decline samples:

    • Space: I work from home and have limited space for samples.

    • Time: I prioritise my own projects plus make a point of having at least three alcohol-free days a week. It may be that I have enough samples to keep me busy for a while already, and accepting any more would mean an unreasonable wait before I get around to tasting them.

    • Relevance: I sometimes decline a sample because the likelihood of me ever writing about it is just too low. I don’t write about wine, so that’s always a non-starter.
