Rich dark sugars and dark fruits, yeasty and packed full of esters, silky-smooth and balanced, hides its ABV well but you can find it in the vinous, viscous way it coats the glass, your lips, mouth and teeth; in the alcohol warmth in your throat after swallowing. Toffee, vanilla, dark boozy cherries, dates, plums, raisins, fruit cake, rich malty bready sweetness, just the tiniest amount of hops to balance it, and a gently drying finish… I could go on but it won’t do it justice.
