Flavours to expect
Milk stouts should be smooth and sweet with a roasted undertone the cut through the creamy lactose body. Expect chocolate and dark fruit notes and perhaps some coffee character too. The brewers’ say: “Silky smooth oats, organic cacao nibs and lactose sugar come together to generate a deliciously drinkable milk stout.”
The hops used are:
- Magnum: resinous, herbal, pine
- Willamette: blackcurrant, spicy, floral
We’re well into December now. You’ve already cracked into the Roses/Quality Street/posher chocs, right? Yeah… let’s just forgo the usual food pairings and stick to the sweet treats with this one.
